A special “sparkle” experience on the Kushiro River

Sparkles on ice: Kushiro River in the freezing winter. The sky as seen from the SUP is clear, and the city lights and stars reflected on the surface of the water sparkle like diamond dust.

The natural phenomenon “lotus leaf ice (lotus leaf ice)” created by the severe winter cold of the Kushiro River (around -20 degrees) is a winter tradition unique to Kushiro, where ice crystals harden in a circle with the flow of the river and form a fantastic shape like a lotus leaf.

Night cruises

●Conditions of participation

Number of participants and age restrictions

・Minimum tour 1 person, maximum 6 people (for elementary school students and above)

*Even those who are completely new to SUP or those who are not good at swimming can participate.

* For children under elementary school age, the maximum weight that can be loaded on a SUP board is approximately 100 kilograms, so it is possible to ride with a small child on one SUP accompanied by an adult. In that case, the child riding together will be free of charge.

●About insurance

In the unlikely event of an accident, we are covered by liability insurance and accident insurance for participants.

We are not responsible for damages or injuries beyond the coverage of this insurance, so we recommend that customers voluntarily enroll in “domestic travel insurance” or “travel insurance for foreign travelers” for accident insurance.

● Regarding clothes and personal belongings

Locally,Drysuits, marine boots, and life jackets are available(included in the experience fee)

〈About dry suit innerwear (clothing)〉

　You can choose innerwear from everyday wear! We recommend materials that dry quickly. It looks like a long-sleeved shirt, jersey, pants, or socks.

　If the land is hot, short-sleeved shirts can be used, but in general, long-sleeved shirts are recommended because they don't get sticky due to sweat.

　If possible, polyester is the best material for shirts! Mountaineering innerwear and ski undershirts are also suitable.

　※I will wear a dry suit, but it may get wet depending on the situation.

〈About shoes〉

　Please avoid high heels or sandals, etc., and wear athletic shoes that are easy to move around in.

　When the water is cold, wet skin is exposed to wind, making it easier for body temperature to drop. If it's a perfect pair of athletic shoes, it's easier to avoid that kind of wind.

〈Bands to prevent glasses〉

　If you fall into the water, your glasses or sunglasses may come off and sink into the water. If you wear glasses or sunglasses, be sure to bring a band.

〈Meals, drinks, sunscreen〉

　Since you sweat and get lots of sunlight, you may be dehydrated before you know it.

　Please prepare hydration, sun cream, etc. Meals are not included, so please prepare and prepare your own meals.

●Precautions

　*Since this is an experience or tour conducted in nature, the content may be changed/canceled, or the meeting/dissolution time may change depending on the weather, amount of water, and other conditions. Please be aware in advance.

≫ After filling out the application form and changing clothes at the reception desk, move to the venue (approx. 5 minutes).
